Traffic calming has considerable impact Following tragedy earlier this year the busy section of Ringwood Road, running past the shops and doctors surgeries, now has a road safety scheme fully implemented. This should make the area much safer for pedestrians. Certainly when you drive the road you are made more aware of the defined crossing points and general narrowness of the road. Let us all keep in our minds on the necessity for these measures and drive safely through our village. Photo © 2003 Robin Hoad |

Broadband comes to Bransgore! Good news - Bransgore telephone exchange is due to have broadband ADSL by 15th October 2003. Initial tests indicate that it should be possible to provide broadband ADSL services that provides up to 2Mbps download speed on most telephone lines in and near the village. ADSL is a technology which allows businesses and private individuals to have much faster Internet services provided via their normal telephone line. Options are available to run your computer and still make telephone calls via the same line. Many thanks to all those who campaigned or expressed an interest in the introduction of this technology into our local exchange. Expressing an interest was not binding in any way, but by doing so we will all soon all have the option at least. |

Bransgore Village Fun Day Each year the Round Table in association with the Parish Council hold a Village Fun Day on the May bank-holiday. This fete style event is held on the sports field opposite the village hall. Events and attractions range from organised races for the children through to the annual dog show. Numerous stalls keep the children amused and provide the opportunity to raise a few quid for our local charities. Photo © 2003 Robin Hoad |

It costs nothing to register so please register as soon as possible so that we all can all have the option. Bransgore Parish Council would like to form its own register of interested people, with which to lobby BT. To register your interest please e-mail council@bransgore-parish.gov.uk .
