A local resident, Vicky Cox, was lucky enough to go flying in a bi-plane this year. During her trip around the area she managed to take a few photos and was kind enough to allow us to put this one on our web-site.  Although we know it's not that far away here when go to down to the beach Mudeford, it's not often we see a photo of our village with the Isle of White in the background!

For those of you who can't work out the orientation, in the foreground is the junction of Derritt Lane and Ringwood Road with Brookside Road running off to the right and the Rosehill Drive estate off to the left. Sharp eyes may be able to pick out St.Mary's bell  tower in the middle-distance.

Many Thanks Vicky. If anyone else has interesting photos of the village they would like to share please contact the Parish Council Website Team.

Snow Men?

On Wednesday 28th of January we had a significant snowfall in a very short period. Almost blizzard conditions for a while as the weather front went through. Electricity was cut to some homes but many of us made the most of the calm evening which followed.
